MEDICAL TUBE FIXTURE

Objective

The baseline at the start of this project for Fabwell was to design a new fixture for a pharmaceutical company specialising in the manufacture of minimally Invasive delivery & access devices, the client provides the full spectrum of services to design, development and delivery of finished medical devices to market. Offering innovative design and reliable manufacturing services.

The technological baseline and status at the start of the project

Fabwell’s client provided the necessary information for Fabwell to design the required fixture, this information would have included typical information such as type of furnace, temperature range, cycle time, part details, part sizes and weights along with any customer specific requirements. No site visits were required in this instance. All communication with this overseas customer was conversed by mail and phone.

Work done

Fabwell utilised their CAD skills and years of experience in heat resistant fabrications market, selected a suitable material in this instance INCO600 and designed a fixture for customer approval prior to manufacture. Using in-house skilled Fabricator welders Fabwell manufactured the fixture and shipped overseas for the client. 

Testing

Fabwell work within strict in-house quality systems. Fabwell engineers carry out final inspection sheets to ensure all the steps set out in the manufacturing guides have been followed and the final product meets these requirements. Testing on this fixture was found to be acceptable and the fixture went into service without issue.
